fieldGO has signed up three water authorities across the state to schedule work and collect data with its enterprise mobility software.
Western Water is to use the mobile platform for work orders and to update asset information in real time, with the aim of increasing resource efficiencies, cutting job costs and lifting customer satisfaction.
The solution will schedule reactive work on sewers or water plant, reported by consumers or other staff. GIS will locate the right asset and repair points, and the data integrates into Western Water’s corporate asset management system.
In the longer term, the company plans to use fieldGO for GPS location of assets and defects, as well as activating water on/off notifications on mobile phones.
East Gippsland Water and South Gippsland Water authorities will use fieldGO software to notify crews of repairs such as sewer spills and water interruptions, with some scheduling of future works.
fieldGO will automate timesheets for both authorities by logging job status changes from work orders.
South Gippsland Water will integrate works data directly into Infor’s IPS 8.3 and will be moving to converting paper based forms to electronic forms as well as electronic scheduling and planning.
fieldGO is to pump field data directly into East Gippsland Water’s corporate systems. Over time the authority wants to develop a mobile application so customers can report issues.
